The first thing to do, these photos from the magnetic albums immediately and throw the albums. That takes care of a lot right there. But then you have lots of pictures, which are solid! You should remove them very carefully, perhaps with a letter opener or pull a butter knife as she could. If they are very precious to you, take it to a photo shop and they do it for you.
Next you'll want your photos sorted out and categorized by topic or person. Maybe You want to present the work and pinned back because recent events are much easier.
If you want to scrap it, start from to use the present and also archivally safe materials. All materials should be free of acid with a pH of 7 or above. Acids may cause discoloration of the paper, are inflexible, and eventually becomes brittle with time. It can also destroy photographs or other memorabilia, it comes in contact with. Your Memories are precious to you, and you want to get it right, to pass them on from generation to generation.
If you just stand at the beginning with scrapbooking, you will need also an acid-adhesive, a cutting device, acid-pen, and of course, acid-free cardboard and patterned paper.
